For the first time in Sri Lanka, the Akiko Group’s Education Division is being expanded to a higher standard today, one institute covering all aspects of Japanese Language with a licensed native Japanese teachers, and a qualified Sri Lankan staff.

FOUNDER & CHAIRMAN

Mihiruk Siriwardhana

Akiko was initiated as Akiko Japanese Language Institute in 2013 by Mr.Chamantha Mihiruk Siriwardhana who completed his highest studies in TCC Japanese Language School in Tokyo, Japan. After graduating from Business and computing specialized school with best grades, He moved to his own Business and established his own auto mobile business in Tokyo. With the progress of building an economical and cultural bridge between Japan and Sri Lanka, he expanded Akiko Japanese language institute into Akiko Group providing various services, including importing Vehicles and Vehicle spare parts, Interpretation Services, Travel guidance for Japanese tourists etc. His vision is to direct youth generation in Sri Lanka who is wishing to achieve their graduation and career goals in japan with a highest  language proficiency and a proper guidance in advance and to develop economic affairs between Japan and Sri Lanka.

MANAGING DERECTOR

Devinda C.Kumara

He is passionate Anime character designer who completed highest studies in Nihon Design Welfare specialized school in Tokyo. The first student in Akiko Japanese Language Institute in 2012 and was the first to grant student visa to Tokyo from our Institute. After completing his studies he returns to Sri Lanka and Joins Akiko Japanese Language institute as Lecturer and gradually becomes a business partner of Akiko Group and helped to expand the group further in this field.  He’s professional not only in the language but also in IT and Japanese Culinary Arts as a result of his further studies in Japan.

A LEVEL/O LEVEL CLASSES

Nirmala Wijewardhana

  She’s a graduate in Japanese Language at University of Kelaniya(BA.Hons,2nd Upper Class),(N2 qualified) She was a former Japanese Language lecturer for IT Engineers and conducting Classes for A level Students for 5 years. She’s been working as a Japanese Language visiting Teacher at Akiko Japanese Language Institute since 2018.

JAPANESE FOR KIDS

Dulani Pathirana

She’s a well-mannered, kind hearted person who had been working as a teacher at Kindergarten for years. She has followed up Special Japanese Course at Sasakawa and in a competence of much of experience of guiding kids for better results.
